We have 2 Toyota Commuter Hiace 12 seater buses and 1 Toyota Commuter 9 seater bus for group tours, (buses can also be used for private tours on request), larger numbers can also be catered for but requires some notice. There are 2 vehicles used for private tours a Mazda CX9 which seats 6 people plus driver and one CRV Honda which can seat 3 people plus driver.
We offer pet friendly tours and if on a group tour we check with the other passengers that they are happy with that and we have never had a problem so far. Generally most people are happy having dogs on tour and they become part of the fun and get lots of attention from everyone, of course with the owners consent. We talk to the owners beforehand and make sure the dogs are well trained, are kept on leashes and obedient.
We also allow children on our tours at a concession fare, we offer child seats i.e. booster and baby seats which normally have a cleaning fee. When there are children onboard we try and make it fun for them too like organising a children’s tasting at one of the wineries (they do children’s paddles that offer juices and lollies, etc which makes them feel part of the experience and very grown up).
We also try and take them to wineries that offer equipment for the children to play with while the parents are tasting and some wineries have animals and have children treasure hunts to keep little minds occupied. We try and make things as family friendly as possible so that the parents get to enjoy their experience while the children get to enjoy things at their level too. We include things like taking them to the chocolate factory which is a big hit with the little ones but also the parents too.
